Before you ride
- Check which licence you need. An international permit from your home country is usually required, and a local licence is a separate process.
- Insurance: ask what your travel or health policy actually covers on two wheels.
- Wear a proper helmet. Traffic is dense and the lanes are narrow.
Check the villa's lane
Look at the lane at 8:00 and 17:00, when schools and offices move. Narrow lanes, gates that open onto traffic and parking for your own bike matter more than the distance on the map.
